A few Simi Valley men had been being held Thursday in Ventura County Jail on suspicion of possessing and also selling cocaine, authorities said.

Gary Pentis said.

The arrests ended a three-week investigation through the Sheriff's Department, district attorney's investigators, the Santa Paula Authorities Department and California Motorway Patrol.

Street value of the cocaine was estimated at $100, 000, Pentis said. Bail was set on $100, 000 for each guy.

"Normal bail would have been $20, 000, but we upped it as a result of large quantity of coke and the truth that they were armed in the possession, " Pentis said.

Pentis said the guys are suspected of selling cocaine wholesale in public.

"They call for these deals to stay public spots so there's less potential for shooting, " he said.
